sister: prefer black cats (crossing the road) to "the man in black") btw, sister, I met him this morning (7.45) at the bus stop...yuk yuk
fenix: thanks for stopping by. you're so kind. La casa dalle finestre che ridono ("the house with laughing windows") is an old Italian horror movie of the late 70s. the generation before mine remembers it as a kind of nightmare. heeeeeeeelp!
I just checked and Netflix (the online DVD rental service we use) has this movie so I added it to my queue and will probably get to see it in a week or two (have others already lined up). I'll let you know how we liked it.
BTW, any recent Italian/European movies you'd recommend?
wow! it's pretty old and also old fashioned. it's not a memorable film, but it's cult because it's one of the first Italian horrors.
Italian cinema is not as good as it was before, but I recommend "le conseguenze dell'amore". the director 's name is Sorrentino. It's a very well-done film. then I would say, "l'imbalsamatore" of Garrone. Both are young Italian directors belonging to the same "school". I hope you'll enjoy.

Cute houses. Some of them look as if they were smiling :)
